My client is currently PMC on a large refinery and petrochemical project and is looking to recruit a Project Controls Engineer to be based in Doha, Qatar.
The Project Controls Engineer should have a proven track record on oil and gas, petrochemical projects. The ideal candidate must have 10+ years experience on large oil and gas, petrochemical and industrial projects.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
-Providing project cost / planning and scheduling support to the Project Controls Manager and Project Management team.
-Ensuring full implementation of planning and scheduling systems.
-Preparation of project control plan for project in accordance with procedures and objectives.
-Providing project control summary to relevant stakeholders.
-Working closely with the project team assisting and guiding on any project control / planning issues.
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience:
-Qualified to degree level in Engineering or equivalent.
-Proven track record in oil and gas environment.
-10+ years work experience in Project Controls/Planning.
-Thorough experience and understanding of planning and scheduling, cost estimation and control.
-English speaking and writing.
-Good oral communication skills (meetings with contractors, senior authority management, technical disciplines).
-Available at short notice is preferable.
